Stop, Collaborate and Listen....

We made magic hats today.  It was fun craft with friends this morning that I found 90% off at Hobby Lobby. Man I love that store and their clearance aisle. We stuck foam stickers on them and of course, plenty of glue and glitter. The girls even made one with glitter for their daddy who was at work. It was the best craft that I have made in a long time.

Do you know why? because they were magic. When you put them on you became free. Free to dance, free to moonwalk, free to sing, free to rap. Someone might have even busted out the Vanilla Ice rap, I'll never tell. Hats were worn sideways, upside down, inside out, backwards, you name it. Our family danced and sang and played for the longest time in those hats tonight and we had fun. It was amazing.

The magic in those hats only went so far though because shortly after dinner and the hats came off, we discovered that a drain pipe coming from our AC in the attic was overflowing and soaking our garage ceiling. So back up the latter to the attic we climbed and worked on the pipe for an hour or two. I will be happy if I never see the inside of that attic again.

In fact, I'm going to go put my hat back on, bust out the Vanilla Ice, put on my MC Hammer pants, a scrunchy, and do a moon walk to my bed. Ice, Ice, Baby....
