Today .. tuesday...uhh

Today wasn't the best day as neither will this blog post be. I hope you're ready for rabbit trails because I have no idea where I'm going. It's called venting 101 and I'm the chief.

I totally defeated myself today %100. The older girls were great and mostly played outside but yet I still let this day get to me. I hate that. I think it's the worst character flaw is that sometimes the thing that ruins my day is simply myself.

I had such a rough day that I didn't make dinner but I did make a chocolate cake for dessert. It was a box mix from a fancy southern chef. I'm not going to say names because I love this chef but this box mix was horrible. It also called for soybean oil instead of regular oil. I didn't have soybean because I'm just a hick.. not a fancy person... and I used canola oil instead. All I tasted was the oil and an aluminum taste.  If you know who I'm talking about, don't buy any of her box mixes. I tried the cookie mix last week and it was the same problems.  If you see them at clearance at Walgreen's, just walk away.

I try not to talk politics on here but I am obsessed with politics in real life. Ha. this is my real life. But I don't want to open a debate on this blog so I just stay away from politics here. This afternoon as I was fuming about something else, I started to think about our current President and I got mad. Then I thought about something else along the same lines and I got madder. I fired myself up with no one else even in the room! Damion told me the other day that one day when our kids go to public school the teachers will be talking about President Obama and our kids will say, "he's never been a president". ha. I should teach them about him but I really don't want too? I'm sorry if you support him, please don't take offense.... I've just had a bad week economically and I'm frustrated with the current administration and congress. Conservatives have a hand in this too! I admit it.

All I have wanted to do the past few days is sew but everything keeps getting in the way. I have a great idea for a cute fall wreath and I just can't find the time to do it.  My one biggest hope for my future is to have a craft room where my sewing machine can stay out. Right now all my machines, fabric, craft supplies, etc.. are housed in two huge shelves in our garage. Damion is such an awesome man for giving me this space and turning his head when it gets messy but it's such a pain to constantly have to go out there to get what I need, set it all up, and then finish in time to put it up before a meal. (since I work on the kitchen table).

My grammar in this post was horrible. Please excuse me, I've had a long day and I didn't have any chocolate cake to make it better. Please come back tomorrow if you support Obama.. I still love you. Even you Julia but because we're sisters.... I have no choice.
